Starion is committed to providing opportunities for our employees, as well as our employees’ families. One way we are able to do this is through our Dependent Scholarship Program. The scholarship program is open to all children of Starion employees who have been employed for one year and who have graduated high school this year or are current college freshman-juniors, and will be attending college for the 2021-22 academic year. Starion has chosen Rachael Schepp, Kelsey Staller, and Faith Wahl as this year's winners of the $500 scholarship.
Rachael Schepp is the daughter of Jay Schepp in Mandan. She will be attending the University of Mary this fall to study exercise science. Rachael is a three-year member of the National Honor Society. She was on the dance team for three years, serving as co-captain her Junior year. Rachael is active in student council, Saints for Life, and Vera Forma. In her spare time, she volunteers at Saint Mary’s Parish, assists Goodwill with clothing drives and helps teachers in their classrooms at Cathedral School.
Kelsey Staller is the daughter of Dan Staller in Fargo. She will be attending the University of North Dakota this year, and intends to study nursing. Kelsey is a two-year member of the National Honor Society. She has been active in sports, playing tennis and volleyball. Kelsey served as Senior Class President and Vice President of student council. She has participated in several clubs, including French club, Key club and FBLA – serving as Freshman President. In her free time, she volunteers at Gigi’s Playhouse, Great Plains Food Bank and Hope Lutheran Church as a Sunday School Teacher.
