No business owner wants their organization named in the next big security breach headline. To help local small and mid-sized businesses avoid this embarrassing situation, Fargo-Moorhead Chamber is hosting a cybersecurity panel discussion at their upcoming event, “The Urgency of Cybersecurity.” The panel consists of several respected North Dakota networking and cybersecurity experts.
Art Bakke, Starion Bank Information Security Officer, AVP, was chosen to moderate the panel, titled “Protecting Your Business from Today's Threats.” Planned discussion topics include what to do in the event of a breach, network security/cyber liability insurance and how to build a culture of security.
As the Information Security Officer, AVP for Starion Bank, Art Bakke provides oversight and management to protect the information assets of the bank’s 16 locations across North Dakota and Wisconsin. He has more than 28 years of information technology and information security experience supporting large, complex enterprise networking environments.
Dan Staller, Fargo Market President, supports Bakke’s participation, “As a strong member of the Fargo business community, Starion Bank encouraged Art to volunteer his time and expertise to moderate this important discussion. Helping our local businesses stay safe and succeed in a digital world is just one of the many ways Starion invests in the well-being of our communities.”
The panel is scheduled for 8:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. on August 19th at the Holiday Inn Fargo. A live stream of the event will also be available. More information on the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber event can be found at fmwfchamber.com.
