Technology Conversion Guide
Starion Bank will undergo a system conversion beginning at 6:00pm on Friday, November 15th and concluding at 8:00am on Monday, November 18th. This update will improve the security, functionality, and overall experience of our banking services.
What to expect during the conversion
Recurring transfers that are already set up will process after the conversion is complete. Mobile deposit will be unavailable after 4:00pm on Friday, November 15th, while we prepare for the conversion.
During the conversion, the following services will be unavailable:
- Online Banking Mobile Banking
- Zelle
- Bill Payment
- External Transfers
- Mobile Deposit
- eStatements
- Internal Transfers
- Account and transaction alerts will not be received during this period.
Logging in after the conversion
After the conversion, you must complete a more thorough process the first time you log in. You will select three new security challenge questions and answers that Online Banking will use to verify your identity any time you log into Online Banking from a different computer. This will be similar to when you first set up your online account. Our Customer Service Team will be available to assist you with this process.
Mandan and Bismarck North Branches (North Dakota) will be closed
On Saturday, November 16th, our Mandan and Bismarck North Branches (North Dakota) will be closed due to the conversion.
All Starion branches will be open normal business hours on Friday, November 15th and Monday, November 18th.
Local businesses: please submit change orders for pickup in advance to avoid issues.
ATM and Debit Card Services
ATMs will remain available throughout the weekend, and you will be able to use your ATM and debit cards. However, temporary daily limits will apply:
Consumer:
- $300.00 for ATM cards at ATMs
- $550.00 for Debit Card ATM withdrawals
- $1,500.00 for Debit Card point-of-sale transactions
Health Savings Accounts:
- $1,500.00 for Health Savings Account debit cards
- $1,500.00 for Business debit cards
Please note, your ATM/Debit card numbers and PINs will remain unchanged.
Intuit Quicken Services
As a part of our conversion, Intuit retail products (QuickBooks, Quicken, and Credit Karma) that you currently may access through Starion will be impacted.

Back up all of your data you want saved for future reference by no later than 11/15/2024.

Beginning on 11/18/2024, you will need to establish a new connection when you sign in to access your Intuit products/account.

Please note: access to Intuit Online Aggregation products (QuickBooks online, Quicken Express Web Connect, and Credit Karma) may be down through 11/22/2024 (5-business days from the conversion date).
