Zinke graduates from banking school

Doug Zinke, business banking officer-vice president, at Starion Bank in Bismarck recently graduated from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado (GSBC). Zinke graduated with honors, a special designation for students in the top 10 percent of their class.

GSBC is America’s premier community banking school. This 25-month program provides management and leadership training for community banking professionals. Students complete training that focuses on the areas of general management, technology, lending, leadership, human resource management and financial management in banks. Requirements for graduation include comprehensive examinations, research projects and participation in a bank-management simulation course.
Zinke joined Starion Bank in 2011, bringing with him five years of banking experience. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and MBA from the University of Mary, Bismarck. Locally, Zinke serves on the board of directors at the Gateway to Science Center.
