Starion Bank participates in Day of Caring
August 30, 2017
More than 1,000 individuals joined together to participate in the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way’s Day of Caring this August. This year, Starion team members came together to support the Great Plains Food Bank – an organization Starion supports – by packing 11,887 meals for senior citizens. All of the positions to participate filled up so quickly that some Starion employees volunteered with other organizations, such as the Bismarck Cancer Center and the Missouri Valley Family YMCA.

Additionally, Starion CEO Craig Larson and his wife, Shelley, have been honored with the role of campaign co-chairs for the MSA United Way in Bismarck-Mandan. In their roles, they lead the campaign cabinet, look for fellow business leaders to partner with, represent the campaign at company kick-off events and helped set up campaign goals and strategies.
Finding time to give back to the community can be overwhelming, but it’s important. That’s why Starion encourages each employee to become involved and allows some of that involvement to take place during business hours. It’s also why we provide opportunities to be part of community projects like United Way Day of Caring.
