Get your MoneyPass!
Many of us have been in a situation where we need to use an ATM but are nowhere near our bank. For your convenience, Starion has teamed up with MoneyPass to provide you with surcharge-free access to about 25,000 ATMs across the country.
What does surcharge-free mean?
A surcharge fee is money paid per transaction to whoever owns the ATM. There are also network fees, which are usually $1. MoneyPass helps you avoid the fees when traveling with its network, and here's how:
- Use a Starion-owned ATM to avoid the $1 network fee and surcharge fees. If we own the ATM, we don’t charge you to use it
- Use a MoneyPass ATM at a participating bank location (lobby or drive-through) and you avoid any fees
- Use a MoneyPass ATM located at convenience stores, schools or retail stores. You will avoid the $1 network fee, but may still pay a surcharge fee
Where can I find a MoneyPass machine?
MoneyPass machines are available across the country. You can locate a MoneyPass machine near you by visiting the MoneyPass ATM Locator service online. You can find ATMs by address, city and state and ZIP Code, and you can download maps to your GPS. Not all ATMs display MoneyPass decals and some may have stickers or warning screens about surcharge fees, but ATMs you find using the locator are surcharge-free.
MoneyPass has also partnered with Walmart to provide surcharge-free ATM access in more than 2,000 stores through Walmart’s MoneyCenter Express machines. That’s about half the Walmart stores in the U.S. This is another great way to get the cash you need without paying added fees.
Standing up against hunger
From North Dakota to Wisconsin, we have been doing our part to put an end to hunger during Hunger Action Month. In Bismarck-Mandan, Starion employees gathered together to feed 467 individuals a meal at Trinity Lutheran Church’s event, The Banquet. It’s an opportunity to provide a meal, conversation and a sense of community for many.
