Lee Weisbeck, Starion Bank Bismarck-Mandan Market President, and two members of the Starion board of directors, Cam Knutson and Levi Andrist, have been named to the first ever 20 Under 40 list by the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC.

The 20 Under 40 list highlights young, successful Bismarck-Mandan leaders who are making a big impact in their communities. Weisbeck, Knutson and Andrist are all featured in the August issue of the Bismarck Mandan Chamber EDC’s Connection magazine.
“It’s an honor to be chosen for the 20 Under 40. Watching the Bismarck-Mandan community grow and thrive over the years, and being a part of that success, is humbling.” says Weisbeck. “There is so much potential in the people and businesses here, and it’s a lot of fun to be part of a community bank that helps develop that potential.”

Weisbeck began his career in the insurance industry before coming to Starion in 2007 as a business banker. After years of helping local businesses and agribusinesses, and attending the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado, he was promoted to Mandan Market President in 2015. Three years later, in 2018, Weisbeck’s role expanded, and he now oversees all Starion branches in Bismarck and Mandan.

Starion Bank Chief Executive Officer Don Morgan is thrilled, but not surprised at the award. “Lee is not only an accomplished banker and market president, but also a well-respected community leader,” says Morgan. “He plays a central role in Starion Bank’s support of local community organizations and charities, and our success as a significant engine of growth for the Bismarck-Mandan area.”

Cam Knutson was elected as a director in 2020. Knutson is the owner of Knutson Companies, a real estate brokerage and development firm, and co-owner of the Sanctuary Events Center, a Fargo venue for weddings, concerts, and private events. He also serves on the Board of Directors for Sanford Health Bismarck West Region and Board of Regents for the University of Mary.

Levi Andrist, Attorney with GA Group, was elected to the board in 2022. GA group specializes in government relations, regulatory affairs, public affairs and ethics. Andrist is an active member of the State Bar Association of North Dakota and also enjoys serving on the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation’s board of directors.

Craig Larson, Chairman of the Starion Bank Board of Directors, is grateful for the contributions Andrist and Knutson bring to the board. “Cam and Levi both have deep connections to Bismarck-Mandan. Their combined experience and wisdom bring a welcome perspective, and essential ideas on how Starion Bank can continue to help propel the community forward.” says Larson. “Starion is fortunate to have such strong local leadership and representation in our ranks.”
