Recognizing the need for a fast, efficient and secure method to correspond with our customers and business partners, Starion Bank has implemented the Cisco Registered Envelope Service. This system allows emails to be encrypted before being sent over the Internet so that only the intended recipient will be able to open the message.

Receiving and replying to SECURE Email from Starion Bank

To register and use secure email, you must first receive an encrypted email from Starion Bank. You will only need to register once.


Initiating and sending SECURE Email to Starion Bank

Once you have received SECURE Email from Starion Bank and have registered, you will be able to initiate and send SECURE Email to Starion Bank with SECURE Email. You must know the email address of the employee to whom you wish to send an email.

No. SECURE E-mail uses a combination of e-mail and html. So if you have e-mail of any kind and are able to access the internet, you have everything you need to use SECURE E-mail.
Use the Forgot Password? link when you attempt to open the secure message. The process will require you to answer the password challenge questions you specified when you enrolled for secure e-mail. If you continue to have problems, please contact the Customer Service Center.
SECURE E-mail uses e-mail encryption to safely transmit the e-mail's content across the internet. E-mail encryption is similar to a letter being placed into an envelope and sealed. We scramble the information inside the e-mail (including attachments) and send it. The recipient has a software encryption key (their password) that allows them to open (unseal) the message.

Yes. You may open attachments and save them to your computer's hard drive. Those documents will not require a password to open. However, the e-mail will always remain encrypted and require you to enter your password each time you open it. Caution should also be taken to make sure that any attachment that is saved on your computer is safe.  Please review Protect Yourself for additional information.
